Web Content Manager £30k+, Middlesex

Our client will be a major sponsor for the 2012 Olympic Games. The games offer them an opportunity to take true consumer, customer and commercial leadership position over their competitors, which you can be part of.  The focus of the activity will be nationwide, fuelled be a social movement with huge emphasis on a digital platform.   

They looking for an experienced web content manager to bring their online platform to life, writing engaging stories and deciding which community contributions to publish.  They envisage the whole country getting involved and the web manager will share this consumer activity with the nation.  

  • Working with the brand team and agency group to develop on ongoing content plan and strategy for their social media driven campaign.
  • To execute the content plan, creating compelling, on brand content e.g.
  • Writing news articles, blog entries, identifying good stories and content to push on the website.
  • To develop content for outside of the site such as Facebook etc.  

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you’ll have:  

  • A passion for what makes a social movement tick and how digital networks can unlock the potential.
  • Sound experience in digital communication or brand communications necessary.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work tactically and autonomously and identify “a good story”.
  • Could come from PR, Digital comms or corporate comms background.  

Based in Uxbridge, Middlesex – this is a 12 month contract.

Salary c£30,000+
