Freelance Live Social Media Broadcasters (Events)

My client is taking social media interaction to new, broader levels with multi-layered online/social media coverage of events and conferences, and due to popular request for their work, I am working exclusively with them to build a team of ad-hoc freelancers to provide live events coverage.

The people we need will be:

  • Live Hash Tag Tweeters – people onsite, broadcasting event coverage through Twitter on the designated hash tag, with updates, sound-bites, quotes. Guideline pay rate: £80-100 per day
  • Live Sound-Bite Bloggers – people onsite, using WordPress/Posterous sites to broadcast key messages from the events as they happen – and thus provide a continuous and regular stream of the knowledge being shared in short paragraph format. Guideline pay rate: £100 per day
  • Live Insight Summary Bloggers – people onsite, summarising talks/presentations that have just happened with an overview of the message and the discussion points raised. Guideline pay rate: £150-175 per day
  • Live Photographers – once again, onsite photographers taking incidental images from the event and instantly downloading to Flickr to bring that constant stream of the visual experience of the event/conference. Guideline pay rate: £120-150 per day

Naturally the first 3 roles require expert writers – either experienced bloggers, journalists, or people who have studied/are studying English or Journalism at University. The content needs to be accurate and engaging.

Photographers would of course also be experienced photographers with a portfolio to demonstrate.

The work would be of course, sporadic – based on the engagements – and would be a day or two at a time for example.

If you would like to put your name up for this work, please apply to steve@cloudninerecruitment.co.uk with your CV/portfolio.
