Our client is a global force in their field, and the past 2 years has seen them develop their Digital and Online space heavily. They are now seeking an ambitious, commercially focused Head of Online Marketing to manage and develop this global online marketing strategy even further forward, in the areas of Social Media, Digital Communications, SEO and Content.
To be considered for the role, you’ll need to be an experienced, passionate and ideally international marketer with a strong track record in driving an online business, through effective and cost-efficient lead generation and multi-channel acquisition strategies, with the ability to demonstrate success within a similar role where e-commerce has had a major part to play in the growth of the business. Ideally, this will have been gained in a B2C, international environment.
The position reports to the Managing Director, Europe, and involves close collaboration with Sales Directors in London and around the world.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and directing the global consumer marketing strategy, ensuring sales are maximised for all online marketing channels in each target country/region (PPC, SEO, Email, Affiliates, Social, Analytics etc.) in line with budgets, whilst maintaining strong ROI
- Implementing a forward-thinking approach to marketing through proposing new technologies, influencing product development and suggesting innovative ideas to expand our market share
- Working with sales directors around the world to achieve targets
- Leading development projects for new business areas and website enhancements
- Managing, developing and motivating the marketing team
- Ensuring the right structure is in place to deliver all marketing plans
- Taking responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and measurements of team and individual results
- Working with B2B sales team managers to promote brand internationally and manage promotions
- Overseeing offline marketing efforts in our in country sales offices and manage coordination of strategy between offline and online
The right person will have considerable experience in a similar role for a significant international company, with significant e-commerce operations. The combination of excellent man management skills and technical prowess are required, and further languages beyond English are a huge benefit.
The role is based in London with a salary of £75-80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
